Alta is a place all of it's own...There is not another resort anywhere in the world that can feel this much like home.  An easy 4 hour drive from Seattle, this is the resort where golfers come to play their hearts out. It is a tradition that for many, has spanned decades.  Ask someone who plays Alta.  You will see a look in their eyes.

The course began in 1974. It started as nine really fun holes, holes with giant greens and a tiny motel in the distance. Golfers would play a nine hole round two times, from two different sets of tee boxes. Golfers would hardly run into anyone else and be able to play all day.

That is what the course was like when our family came in 1984, needless to say we fell in love. Twentysome years have passed since we took over the course. Many of you have watched the Barth children learn golf, change water and grow up in front of your eyes.

The course has changed. We offer 18 truly remarkable holes that complete the course. The motel has many more rooms, but not enough, we hear.
